Hey everyone, I’m @zero and also a Steward in LunarDAO. I’ve recently discovered my love for creating Mdbooks. Markdown is amazing, easy to learn, organize things with these wikis and share with others. I feel excited to hear about all your experiences and knowledge about privacy tools, linux and programming. We started to put some stuff together, but obviously there is so much more out there. I also very much like exercising (hoping for such a thread at some point ) and coffee :v: :crescent_moon:

Hey, I’m @saliveja. It’s great to be here and I hope this will grow to a big community. There are so many ppl fed up with control measures and now of course with the latest regulatory measures and arrest of Tornado cash dev it’s pretty obvious that things are happening with or without us. The question is how we want to position ourselves within that. I’ve been doing research of crypto privacy projects, and hope that I’ll be able to continue with this and collaborate with lunardao.

Hi everyone,

I’m @0xQ and I have been following LunarDAO and DarkFi for awhile now. I am super interested in privacy projects and am actively looking to contribute to them. I usually help people out with understanding more advanced concepts and helping to update documentation for projects.

In the past I ran a Tornado Cash relayer. Since the sanctions placed on Tornado Cash I have helped to update the documentation to make it easier and safer for others to run their own relayer.

In my free time I usually work to build tools for Ethereum. Most of my work focuses around making tools that help people recover funds/have more accessible ways to control their wallets.

I hope to see this community grow and am excited to see how I can contribute.

Hey everyone,

I learnt about LunarDAO and DarkFi from Rachel-Rose O’Leary’s talk on Why Privacy Matters. It’s great to see the project moved forward since then and I think now’s the perfect time to get involved.

My own work involves building a resource to help people avoid surveillance through advanced anonymization and privacy techniques. I’m in the process of writing in-depth guides on how you can use the various tools we have at our disposal. If anyone’s interested, let me know! Maybe one of you can read through it and offer feedback?

If any LunarDAO team members want help expanding on the guides in the Privacy tools section, just message me. I’m active on Matrix and hope to join the IRC chat soon.

I’m excited to see how all this turns out!

It would be amazing to collaborate on developing the Privacy tools. I feel very excited about this research and would love to see what you are working on and happy to give feedback if I can. If you have feedback or suggestions for improvement of the privacy tool list it is very welcome.

I tried following the guide on the wiki (installed dependencies for Debian-based systems, etc.), but it fails to build for some reason. Any tips?

Error message:

‘/home/user/darkfi/contrib/token’
RUSTFLAGS=“” cargo build --all-features --release --package zkas
/bin/sh: 1: cargo: not found

sry if I’m missing obvious things that you already did, but it says that cargo is not found. Did you install Rustup?: curl --proto ‘=https’ --tlsv1.2 -sSf https://sh.rustup.rs | sh

Yea, got rustup installed already. I have no clue what’s going wrong here

what does cargo --version return?

cargo 1.66.1 (ad779e08b 2023-01-10)

ok, that’s up to date
in which command you get the error?
